Heimtextil (DE. transl.”home of textiles”) is the most prestigious international annual fair held in Frankfurt for four days. My duty was to design stand and interiors, for the purpose of exhibiting Textum’s newly developed fabric collections.
Large scale project spreading over 170 m2 area consisted of closed meeting rooms (for big customers), opened side-meeting rooms, two side and three front showcases. In the middle of the stand was a kitchen, reception and three presentation tables, as well as two rest places between them. All in all, with seven selling points the stand was approachable from all angles except from the rear, where there was a secondary passage.
Designing task consisted of:
■ arranging functionalities
■ spatial design
■ choosing colours
■ choosing building materials
■ choosing/producing decoration
■ lightning design
■ choosing fabric for upholstery
